About Shaun T

Shaun T was born Shaun Thompson. In his early years at Rowan University he was a track and field star who received a BS in Sports Science with minor in Theatre and Dance.

Both of his degrees were well put to use in his appearances on HBO’s Six Feet Under, CNN, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America and the Doctors. All this while working along corporations such as Nike, RadioShack, Boost Athletic Shoes and the LA Lakers.

Shaun T decided to shake up the fitness industry in 2007 by creating the hit workout program called Hip Hop Abs which was a hip hop dance workout. Just 1 year later Shaun T released another hit workout DVD program called Rockin’ Body, Shaun T’s Fit Kids Club and Get Real with Shaun T. He’s helped inspire millions into a healthy lifestyle and combat obesity.

In 2009 he teamed up with Beachbody once again to launch the 60 day total training and conditioning system which was renowned for being insanely challenging and effective – the Insanity Workout Program.

Since Insanity had become so popular he released Insanity: The Asylum which was the first sports-specific training program which was built by athletes and can be done right in your own home. The Asylum Volume 2 provide another 30 days of intense workouts.

    The closest gym to my house is about a 20 minute drive which is almost the length of half of one of these workouts. Since I was looking for a workout I can get fit into my busy schedule and the Focus T-25 turned out to be better than I had hoped. I’ve used Shaun T’s Hip Hop Abs in the past which was so much fun but wanted something different. If you’re looking to get in shape in the new year you really don’t have any excuses since the Focus T-25 workout system is such a short workout. Shaun T is very motivating and makes the workouts fun and I get a great workout every day. Love this workout dvd!

    I’m someone who’d love to exercise more whenever I get the chance but with my career and children it’s difficult to find the time. I wasn’t really one for going to the gym. I’ve tried beachbody DVD’s in the past like P90X, Insanity and Hip Hop Abs to all be very effective and fun ways to get in shape. I was really caught between buying the new P90X3 and Focus T-25 when I was looking for a new workout program and decided to go with the latter. Since I’ve been following along with the Focus-T25 workouts I’ve dropped 2 pant sizes. I feel a lot more energized before I start my day and it only takes me 25 minutes to get a great workout in. There’s no fitness equipment needed with this beachbody workout dvd and it puts a lot of emphasis on working on your core which is my problem area. If you’re looking to stay in shape or lose weight and don’t’ want to pay for expensive gym memberships then you definitely want to consider the Focus T25 workout program. Shaun T is really motivating and it’s like following along to a fitness class but better.

    I’ve tried Insanity which although was a great workout program it was hard to find an hour in my day to fit in a 1 hour workout. The Focus T25 allowed me to get a similar workout in just 25 minutes. I’ve lost 31 pounds doing T25 which was not something I expected. It’s ridiculously intense and even my kids are saying that their daddy has muscles. If you’re looking to get in shape or lose weight then the Focus T25 is a great starting point that won’t discourage you yet give you the results you want. Shaun T quickly switches muscle groups without any rest and by the time the workout is over your whole body has been worked out and sore. It’s amazing what just 25 minutes can do to ones body. I’ve never felt this good and haven’t looked this good in a long time. As long as you watch your diet and stay motivated and stick to these workouts you’ll be setup for success.

    can i focus on one or two dvds only and workout them till the time allotted(3) mths ,had back surgery years ago and do feel stress on my L5S1 disc, or do i have to work all the dvds for best results

    I’m on my 5th week of the Focus T 25 workout program and i’m so impressed with how far I’ve come. I purchased the Base Kit and on top of following along with Shaun T’s effective workouts I now carefully watch my diet and caloric intake. I have to admit the first week was really tough and my body was so sore every time that I didn’t enjoy it. By the second week I actually loved the feeling since it reminded me that I was doing something great for my body. Still plenty of weight and inches to lose but I’m glad I decided to choose a healthier lifestyle and the Focus T25 has been an amazing help. Before I started this workout DVD program I always felt lethargic and now I feel like I have more energy and more alert during the day. I even feel like I’m in a better mood after completing my workout. Whether it’s the endorphin’s or sense of accomplishment I feel great! This workout program is well worth the money and it really does help transform your life.

    As a parent of 3 children and someone who works full time it’s hard to find any time to get any exercise. The P90X3 workout program turned out to be exactly what I needed to get in shape again without having to commit to the time, paying for a gym membership or personal trainer. Tony Horton has been my own personal trainer for the last three weeks despite him being on my big screen. The results have been nothing short of impressive. It’s very intense and my body is sore after every workout. It was a bit of a challenge to get through the workouts the first few days but eventually I started to look forward to the challenge. So far I couldn’t be happier with the program.
